Thursday - the Best, the better and the not so good

Our jaunt to Austin seems to be most fortuitous. Ye old left foot has been acting up. I called my podiatrist here at 8 to see if he could see me. Sorry, no - then a call back for me to come in at 9:30. What a break. I love this man. He does everything thoroughly and he has flagged my chart to work me in whenever I call since we are here sporadically.
We made it to the hospital shortly after the visit and DH's sister was lucid and seemed very much better, first day she has been lucid since Saturday. She is normally severely reserved - thank God for painkillers, because she was actually cordial and friendly. I think she will live but will never live down being so verbose.
After we made it back to Mother's house in Austin, DH tried to work on the rocking and rolling washing machine. Didn't have the tools he needed but will fix it next visit - what he did find is a gold and diamond ring Mother lost at least 7 years ago. That will be a nice surprise since I didn't get her a giftie to take back.
We had a nice dinner tonight with DH's brother and his wife. Since it seems as if everyone will live to see another day, we will head back home in the morning.
The not so good is that I haven't made 10,000 in two days. When the old foot acts up I usually bike my steps but no bike here.
Yes when you start taking care of your mother, she becomes the child.
When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 1 Corinthians 13:11
God help us to grow up in You.
