Ready for this day to be finished. It was going very smoothly until about 2:30 which coincided with getting Isaac ready to go to his therapies this afternoon. I know it wasn't brought on by hunger as we had a late lunch with our friends and he ate a lot. He seemed okay on the drive but then chose a pretend game while we waited for his therapist and then he was actually a bit rude with it when she came to get him. I asked her to make sure he got to his speech group when they were done as I needed to run an errand that wouldn't get me back here until about 15 minutes after she was finished and that went fine, but I guess he had an attitude with the leaders saying "he was supposed to go home next." I've been preparing him for three days about the schedule change and even told him again as we got there today. No memory of that at all. Since we got home he has continued to be beligerent and disrespectful. Can feel my shoulders tightening up as I type. LOL
Last night Maegann helped me a lot by mowing the grass for me as it was getting too tall, her dad needs to finish fertilizing and I didn't know when I'd get to it because of the weather. Was a wonderful surprise. A lot easier and quicker than using the push mower like I do.
Also been taking photos of the signs of spring. We finally have some of our new bulbs coming up and were surprised by this bloom.
This was a pretty tree full of blossoms.
And this was the spring storm I saw as I drove to church last night.
We were showing the kids the baby goats after lunch and then Maegann went to show them the baby chicks and duckling. Unfortunately we found Suzy the duckling in a very bad way. Thankfully she is doing much better tonight after being brought in the house and nursed back to strength. Not sure what happened. Here's the sick one in its warm "blanket."
And this is the duckling infirmary.
Otherwise... as I said the day was going fine. Gym time, schoolwork and then our time with friends for lunch. I had forgotten about that yesterday, but I did have what I needed in the house to provide my side of the lunch that I'd planned with her! My errand during therapy was to deliver the new hire paperwork to the payment company so I could get it processed faster instead of waiting on the mail.
Tomorrow morning I have to take my dad for his carotid artery check (ultrasound) and then I'll do school with the kids. Nothing else on the schedule other than Kenzie coming over to work with Isaac.
BL Challenge - Team Emerald
Today is weigh-in day and I had to post a gain of 1.4 pounds. I honestly do not understand that but will accept it and move forward. Sorry team Emerald!
Gym Time Challenge
Made it to the gym today but had to leave a little earlier so only got in 35 minutes instead of 45. I plan to go again on Saturday and can spend a longer time as the hubby will have the kids.
Be strong, courageous, and firm; fear not nor be in terror before them, for it is the Lord your God Who goes with you; He will not fail you or forsake you. (Deuteronomy 31:6)
Trust in Him. What sideline have you been sitting on, just wishing and waiting? What's keeping you from trusting God? Take action! You can do something today with the courage God gives you.
