Today is the day! *dun dun duuuuun*

Ok, so today I started the "intervention" phase of the Protein Power plan, and I gotta say, so far it's going really well (surprisingly). Being vegetarian I'm worried about getting enough protein, but so far, with just breakfast and a snack, I already have 41 grams of my required 62 gram minimum. Woot! These first few weeks will be pretty hard, I'm sure, since the plan recommends you have only 30 grams of carbs a day, but I'm going to try really hard to stick to that. I think the worst thing will not be having fruit or juice (even though I've been drinking "light" juice since June of last year, it's still about 15 grams of carbs in an 8 oz serving- half of my daily recommended total), but I think I can make room for a quarter of an orange if I want in these first few weeks. I am kinda stoked about having tons of different kinds of veggies to chose from, although I might not feel the same way after a couple days of eating mostly said veggies...

Here's hoping this works! emoticon

Hey! I had a Morningstar Farms 1/4 lb Grillers veggie burger in a small reduced-carb pita (I think they're by the brand Joseph or something like that, I got them at Wa-Mart in front of the deli area) with one slice each of provolone and cheddar. I know it's not a typical breakfasty type meal but it was really filling. Hope that helps!

Wow, that's awesome! If you don't mind me asking, what did you have for breakfast? I'm mostly vegetarian (still eat seafood) and am always looking for new ways to fit in protein.

Good luck with your efforts!
