Finally checking in after nearly a month! I have been sticking to my eating program pretty well and joined a gym about a week and a half ago. I have been working out pretty hard lately and according to SP burning probably too many calories. The problem with changing my workout goal every week is that what I have in there is my goal. Sometimes I don't make it and sometimes I far exceed it. I do not want to be eating too much and gain weight back. I have enough weight ups and downs already!
So I thought I should finally put up some pictures of where I started at and where I am now.
January 2013- 173pounds. Down 14 pounds from where I started with Spark People at 187 pounds.
Pants- Size 7
Shirts- Size XL
April 2013- 163pounds. Down 23 pounds from 187.
Pants- Size 5
I can see the difference in my stomach from January to April mostly on the side view. Putting these side by side let me really see how far I had come already. I have 14 pounds to go to get to my goal of 150. Once I get to that goal if I feel I'm not where I want I will adjust that goal. If I like where I am before that, then I will stop and maintain at that point.
From 2007 to today I have had many ups and downs with my weight. In 2010, I was down to 167 pounds which was the lowest I had seen since I had my child in 2007. Over the next 2 1/2 years I put on 20 pounds and then joined SP. I still have my times of falling off the bandwagon and eating whatever I choose and luckily have never put on more than 5-8 pounds again.
At this point I am focused, determined and WILL get to my goal! I wish my weight loss would speed up a little bit and not be one pound every 2 weeks or so, but I will take that weight loss over none or a gain!
