I stepped on a snake yesterday while I was barefoot.

Lately, life has been pretty busy! My grandma was put in the hospital for a few days but she is ok. She overdosed on her meds. It didnt cause the doctor to be majorly worried. He just took her off them and let it get out of her body. Once that happened she was 100% again.

I'm still working out and eating ok..I need to push myself more on the working out part. I'm going to change things up a little more. Normally I go to the track, then to the gym for more cordio and then weights. I went to the track today, then to the gym for weights and then cardio. I was able to lift more weight and do more reps. So I think for now thats my order.

I wrote a few months ago about owning chickens. Will I built them a nice chicken run and coop. Well yesterday I decided to check on them. I always walk in my yard barefoot. Well by the coop I stepped down and felt a snake wrap around my ankle. I jumped, it fell off of me and I took off running. I have never ran that fast in my yelled to my mom about what happened. I took off running to get my hoe to kill it. After I cut its head off. My mom was yelling at me asking if it bit me. I never thought to look. I was just so pumped about what happened. I started to look at my foot and leg. I didnt see any bites. She was still wanting me to go to the hospital. I told her no because I wasnt bite. So she called a nurse friend of ours to see what she thought. She told her if I was bit that I would neighbor came over and said it was a king snake. I wish I wouldnt have killed it now because a king snake is actually a good snake but I didnt know at the

That was definitely a close encounter. King snakes are the ones that kill other snakes, right? Hopefully he wasn't after ur chicks. Good job on switching up the order of your workout and finding more strength! & glad to hear that your grandma's back to 100%.

I've always said I will never die of a snake bite. I will keel over when I first see it and it can bite me all it wants to, as I will already be dead from fright!

Eeek, that definitely gave your heart a bit of a workout. Good that there was no actual danger of a bite, even if you didn't know that at the time.

Wow scary stuff!! I am sooooo afraid of snakes I would have died of fright if that happened to me!! My dog dug up a snake the other day ( I think it was still hibernating for the winter -- I live in CT) then he killed it and brought it to the door to show us what he did! YIKES!! So glad it it didn't get into the house... I would of had to move out!! emoticon

That's definitely exciting. May that be the closest encounter you ever have with a snake in your life. Thank God it was a king snake and glad your grandma is okay. ;-)
