Elliptical Trainer

Thursday, April 11, 2013

Hey
emoticon The week is almost over. And tomorrow is weigh in day. Wish me luck. I hope Im at least down a lb.
emoticon Yesterday was a good day. Ate within calorie range. Had a good dinner and having the leftovers for lunch. It was a day off (working out) but I did do 15 mins on it, light walking at the 2.5 speed and no incline.
emoticon Today is going good so far. Have most of my calories already planned. And I already went to the gym and decided to switch it up and got on the elliptical trainer instead of the treadmill. The longest Ive lasted on it was 6 mins. But today I did 11 mins, so that is almost double the time I did last time (I was really starting to sweat too). Hopefully I can keep doing that and gradually increasing my time. I still like the treadmill best though. I will probably get on the treadmill later on for 15 mins.
emoticon I saw an article on sparkpeople yesterday that in order to lose weight (studies show) you should be doing 50 mins cardio PLUS Strength training 5 days a week. YIKES. Granted I can probably do the treadmill for 50 mins but its hard finding the time, especially working 2 jobs. I could probably do it 4 days a week with my schedule........what do you guys think? Id probably have to work my way up to 4 days a week......but probably doable. Of course I can always do weights at home. For cardio Id have to get up at 5am and be on the road by 5:15, be here by 5:40 and working out by 5:45. Then Id be done by 6:35 and have plenty of time to shower and dress for work. Ive done it on a few Wednesdays before but not several days a week. Guess I will see what my part time schedule looks like next week and go from there.
emoticon Have a good day

    Fingers crossed!!
I saw that article, too. I feel you on finding the time. If I get up to do a workout in the morning, I have to get up at 2:20. It seems to take forever to get the cats fed and myself ready to workout by 3am. Then take a shower, breakfast and get to work by 5:15-5:30.
