getting started

So, I totally failed my first week plan. But that's okay, because I'm not perfect.
I found some great yoga resources at the library, and I have been blessed with a free eliptical running machine! Thank you Jesus! I cleared out a spot right in my living room and counted the furniture moving as weight training. I can't wait for that machine to get here!
I have started a yoga journal and did my first yoga workout yesterday. I am surprisingly more flexible than I thought! I was a little sore, so I know I probably didn't do a couple of moves correctly. I LOVE Warrior 2 Pose. It's like arrows shooting out from my arms, they get so tingly and I feel really powerful and awesome! One weird thing is that my stomach got really upset for a second, so I had to stop an then start again. I guess all that stretching really stirred things up, but I started the workout back from the beginning so that was extra yoga time which was really good. I needed it.
The kids even got down on the floor with me for the mat part and it was really a lot of fun watching them with their little arms and legs up in the air. I think it might even be good for my relationship - my hubby really liked me doing yoga!
I need to get some blocks and a real yoga mat now. My blanket isn't non slip, unfortunately. LOL
Anyway, I feel great today and can't wait to get home from work and do it again.
