Oh, yes, DH did take the cookies to work. And, oh, yes, he had some at work yesterday with coffee and he and his brother had a coffee and cookie break. Wonderful! How nice it is to have cookies and coffee with family. Do I sound a little sarcastic? Mmmmmm . . . . .
Shopping went a lot better last night. Told husband we were limited in what we could spend and even though he looked at offensive sweets and treats to buy, he didn't buy any. We came home with oranges, bananas, green onions, organic apples and even some radishes--which Dr said would be good for his liver. (Mine, too, probably, but I am not a big fan of radishes.) So, I had an orange for breakfast--nice and sweet--and put one in his bucket for lunch, or break. Maybe that will be more appealing than the cookies! At least, for my part, I can try to keep his bucket healthy. He has gluten free bread, a cucumber salad, some rice and lentils, 2 oz of sausage and an orange. I have decided that since I have a bunch of fresh fruit, I can load up on some with every meal today.
I may not see the silver lining on the clouds that pass me by
But that will not keep me from looking way up in the sky
God has given me the promise of a rainbow
first He gave it to Noah, now it's mine
Though my skies are cloudy and it's raining,
The promise of the rainbow means soon
my sun will shine.
