It's been a long journey, but I've had a ton of successes.

Thursday, April 11, 2013

I haven't lost that much weight, it's actually pitiful in comparison to the success stories on sparkpeople.

Close to 20 pounds in three years. The PCOS is one reason, but it took a long time to figure out what types of exercises, and what combinations of food worked for me.

I've had a lot of successes, I've brought my testosterone levels down to normal, brought my periods back when they were absent to close to a year.

Even though I haven't lost a ton of weight, and I have a long way to go in that respect, I have lost a good amount of inches.

My waist has gone from 41.5 to 37 inches (4.5 inch difference)
My hips have gone from 46.5 to 43 (3.5 inch difference)

Again, I know it doesn't seem like much but looking at them, it seems like a big difference.

Even more exciting news, I'm 3.5 inches (in my waist) away from fitting into clothes from Banana Republic!

I've always looked at their clothes and though they looked so sophisticated and elegant.

Knowing that it's only a few inches away is so exciting to me.

The inches are definitely what matters and you're doing great! I learned a long time ago, that I'll never be completely pleased with the scale, but as long as my measurements are going down, I'm succeeding.

Also, I love Banana Republic!

If we all started by comparing ourselves to others on SP we would never get anywhere. Be inspired by them, not intimidated. Never underestimate the progress you have made or the influence you have on people. Today, for instance, YOU are my inspiration. It is all relative. One day at a time.
