What A Day Today

Thursday, April 11, 2013

This is a pic of the tornado that struck in Bodkinburg just north of here, this afternoon. The County Clerk, who is on a first name basis with everyone in the county, eats lunch at the Senior Center and is a pastor has his church totally destroyed. Both the old building that was turned into a residence and the new building too. Both gone.

This being the New Moon and our ritual night, Home Girls cast, called, grounded, centered, conjured and came up with the idea that maybe the church should hold its services at the Senior Center, FEE FREE. Sooooo tomorrow out come the phone trees and we're having our first major jammin of the phone lines of the year. We'll see what happens on Sunday. Even though our religions are very different, no religion should loose it's meeting place. It's not the pagan way to feel any kind of satisfaction in a situation like this. What we can do is ground and center, and call every Aging Board Member, the WRAAA, and the State Agencies that govern the Aging Programs and inform them of our idea. What will they do when they find out it is a bunch of pagans calling!! We're on a mission!!

The pic is just a few block from where I live. Headed North on the highway.

This is another cloud as it blew thru just South of here. One North of town and one South of town. The town itself wasn't hit.

All is now quiet!! The drainage ditches are receding, clouds are drifting over head with stars starting to twinkle, a slight breeze kisses the tops of the trees and the air is filled with night sounds. A front front is moving in, the temperature is dropping and the night is comfortable here at the Hedge Witch's Cottage. I planted a lot of bulbs today and I think they made it thru. I'm front porch sittin in my jammies enjoying it all with a cup of herb tea.

Just thankful!!

I hope that the church can hold their meetings in the center. It'll create a sense of community if the parishioners are allowed to do this. So good luck to you and the Home Girls!

I'm glad you're safe.

Mother Nature is surely a force to be reckoned with.

Hope she sleeps for a while. emoticon
