Wednesday of Wk7 - Think before you eat and make it healthy!

Wednesday, April 10, 2013

This polar bear is so sorry i am late getting blog out ... had three ministry calls early this morning and then had to get into the village for banking and just seems the day ran away from me. But with planned ahead water bottles and snack I managed to stay on course with nutrition and did some exercises after I got home and will try to get some more in this evening... then had to go with DH to check on a rural yard fire that got a bit too big and needed a little help from a friend... How did I ever manage to run a home daycare for 26 years when all this activity just overwhelms me now?? Retirement is really different Now tell me what exciting things happened in your day?
Sitting down to dinner this evening with DH on reverse of yesterday... paper plate and plastic table wear and laughing at the switch-a-roo. But life is good, just learning to make myself more aware of what i am doing when putting food in my mouth. Mindful eating is a good discipline for me to learn.

That was good that you and Hubby were able to help your neighbor. Isn't that what we're here for? To love and serve others? I continue to enjoy those darling pictures you find of polar bears.

Since I retired some 15 yrs. ago, I honestly don't know when I had time to work!!!

One good thing, though; when I am 'down' I don't have to make an excuse to a boss! Right!

Now, even with bouts of pain, etc., I am able to reach out to friends suffering with cancer!

Day spent with a lot of 'down time'.

Hugs,
Janet
