Today marks 40 days since I have been back with Spark People. I have had some good days, and I have had some bad days. I know each day is an adventure, and I try to work hard at getting this weight off.
Went to the gym this morning, and did my workout on the exercise bike. After my workout, I was talking to the owner of the gym, and was getting price quotes.(I am using a free 30 day pass right now), so I can keep up the momentum when I finish with my pass. The owner is going to try and work with me, so I can afford to keep coming to the gym. She is also going to talk with her husband about giving me discount, so I can have a personal trainer to help me with my strength training. I am keeping my fingers crossed, that this will happen. Today I was the only one in the gym during my workout It was so peaceful in there. Plugged in my music, and pedaled to my hearts content.
Went to the doctor today, and got my test results on left foot. I have a small muscle strain in the foot. Just have to take it easy. No strenuous exercise that could cause more damage to my foot. Walking, biking are fine, just no running. Doctor wants me to lose another 20 pounds, and then he will see about the running. I am not to worried about the running. Walking is just fine with me. We have two walking events coming up, that I am going to do.
The first one is the Relay for Life. Ours is on June 22, 23. Then in September is the Walk for Autism event in Portland. That date has not been set yet. I am also going to try and work on walking in the Jingle Bell run/walk for Arthitis in December. I have been walking every morning and I am working on being able to walk longer distances. This morning I was able to walk 1.9 miles in 45 minutes. I just keep on pushing each day to go a little further.
