thought of day: I have to do more pushups

Blasted through (okay, made it with dead-feeling arms) Tony's shoulders and arms workout and realized that I have now completed 1/4 of my first P90x cycle. Whoa. emoticon

I've noticed that my arms are getting larger, or bulkier, than I want since I've been lifting, so I'm going to increase my reps--even if I have to lower my weights.

After the workout I thought: my arms were way leaner when I just did ST without weights (lots of yoga and tons of pushups), I need to do more pushups!

BAAAM! That thought "I need to do more pushups" just crossed MY brain. Hilarious because 10 years ago (a) I couldn't do 1 pushup even though I was in college and "fit" and (b) I would have been terrified at bulking up. Now I just attack strength training like a beast. I can't say I "love" weight training, but I do love the results . . . and the fact that they show up a lot faster than cardio alone.

    It's cool how those changes sneak up on us! "My arms aren't sore enough" was my recent revelation. At one time, I would have been whining about any kind of DOMS. Now I'm disappointed when I don't get it!

  Push ups are great. Although I haven't done many since leaving the Air Force.
