Tonight, I am tired. I had a good day at work and a nice afternoon out with a co-worker. So, it's not stress I don't think. I am just being leery this evening...I know what a trigger tiredness can be for me...I fall into the trap of eating for energy. So, I'm just playing it low-key tonight and going to take it easy and maybe do my nails. It's getting to be sandal season...so I think a pedicure is in order.
This morning, I looked at a package of cookies that DH bought and thought about having one...then I checked the calorie count on them. 190 calories for one cookie. Yikes! That's almost 1/6 of my calories for the day...in one cookie. No thank you. Glad I checked first. Funny how the appeal of food is increased or decreased based on the calorie counts these days. I think it's like anything else that you have to "spend" on. I wouldn't put a item in my shopping cart that is going to spend 1/6 of my funds available and leave myself wanting for other things when I could get a cheaper option. So why would it be any different with food? I just have to watch and check things BEFORE eating.
I have been putting some new systems into place at my job and I am beginning to see the fruits of my labor. Things are more organized and manageable than they have been in months prior. It's starting to make my work really enjoyable. Yay!
