Finally have a date for surgery!

Wednesday, April 10, 2013

Well, after much back and forth between my Primary Care Physician and my Orthopoedist, we have finally settled on a date for my knee surgery that will satisfy everyone - except me.
After hobbling around for nearly three months, I wanted sooner rather than later, but that is just not meant to be. My surgery is now scheduled for May 20th, more than a month away!
I think I am going to go nuts, I'm just ready for this to be over, and really start my recovery.
I have educated myself on the procedure and rehabilitation, been working out doing my "pre-hab", and started to prepare my home for my post surgery limitations. So now I have another month to try to keep my nerves in check.

And I have to decide whether I want to use a hamstring graft or an allograft (patella graft is not an option for me) to replace my ACL, and have no idea which is better for me. So if anyone has had insight, or experience with either, please let me know.

Thanks,
CJ
