After climbing out of our sleeping bag and tent and having a good breakfast of oatmeal, walnuts and dried apricots I grab my backpack for another days hike. We are surrounded by so much beauty. Here are a few pictures that I took on the trail today.
Can you see Joan walking in front of me on the trail? We are in the Mt. Dale area. It is 546 m. which to us Americans is 1,791 feet.
And this is a new critter friend known as a Bandicoot. Aren't they cute?
He wanted food but we didn't dare give him any. They are becoming extinct, so it was a great find getting to see him.
We are going to set up camp at Monadnocks campsite for the evening. I heard Ann say that tomorrows hike will be a little easier. I think I am starting to get my body broke in to all this exercise. I feel firmer and Gayle and CJ both commented on my pants fitting looser.
I think I will have an extra ration of food. Be it the fresh air, the trail but I feel famished. And I must not forget to fill my water from the tank. Good night everyone.
