Pep Talks and Positive Thinking

So yay another day, another blog. Sorry I'm rambling so much in this one guys! When I get flustered I tend to just carry on, kind of like in this video. Does anyone have tips on positive thinking or are there any pep talks you give yourself that you're willing to share with me? I'm interested to know your thoughts on this one. Anyway, thanks so much for checking this out and taking time to talk to me :)

First off, you're not a loser! Look how hard you're trying. Most people - I mean, really, nearly all people - do not do the things you are doing. They might do it for a month or so - like you mention in the video - but they do NOT keep on doing it for an extended period. So for that reason alone, you are a winner!
What you said about not wanting to die prematurely is exactly the way I feel about it. That's why I'm trying to be healthy!
I like to workout to techno, too. Keeps you moving!

Up until recently, I don't think I could have come up with one positive thing to say about myself if someone had asked me! Honestly, for the longest time I thought I was the only person out there who literally hated myself all the time. I started working with a mentor, and everything that she said to me was positive. She loved me - everything about me - and helped me to recognize the beauty in myself. It wasn't a miraculous, overnight change, but I very SLOWLY started to change the way I thought and talked to myself.
Surround yourself with positive, optimistic people. If you have to be around others who are negative, tell yourself that you won't let them take your power from you and drag you down.
Look in the mirror for a few minutes each day, and every time you start thinking something negative, or you start critiquing everything that's "wrong" with your appearance, take a deep breath and loudly say "SHHHHHHH" (out loud) to quiet these thoughts. This made the world of difference for me. The first time I tried this, I immediately started thinking things like, "This is stupid" or "Why am I doing this? There's no point, it won't change anything." But I stuck with it, and the first time that I did it and had a positive thought about myself was so rewarding and powerful. It brought me to tears!
You can change this, it just takes work, but it is worth it. YOU are beautiful and YOU are awesome!

That's cool that you have Spark Coach. I'd def. do it if money wasn't an issue. I chose Spark People because it was free though as an alternative to an expensive Weight Watchers membership so I have to keep Spark People free by not buying Spark Coach. HAHAHA.

My therapist told me last week, if you continue to be negative, your going on and on with a cycle of hate, if your mind is negative towards yourself then u wont lose and do what u need to do to loose. She said its a proven fact that when you train yourself you will eventually believe it. Might take some time but u will get there.
Every day, I post in the status update bar. some thing positive. A few days ago or some examples I use, I put I am beautiful - I AM WORTH IT, I am strong I am worth it, Im determined im worth it. I always end it with Im worth it because I am!
Im supposed to say it once in the morning and once at night. Ive been more of a once a day type of person. But it HAS helped. Ive noticed my spirit much higher, and I like that. Ive been sort of down the last few days because my back has been in a lot of pain, and who can be positive when they r in pain?!
