4 weeks

Wednesday, April 10, 2013

I had my 4 week post op appointment this morning. It went well and I've been cleared for takeoff! No more restrictions. I've lost 43lbs since my highest weight. My pouch has tolerated everything I have eaten so far. All meats, dairy, fish, cooked veggies and even small amounts of pita bread or english muffin with peanut butter. I was given the go ahead to try soft raw veggies and fruits and if those are tolerated I can move on to crunchy veggies. I'm so looking forward to a small bit of salad in the next few weeks.

The best news of all is that my BLOOD PRESSURE WAS NORMAL!!!!! I no longer have to take my blood pressure medication. My surgeon took me off of them right after surgery and I'm thankful.

I'm sooooooo with you!!!

My biggest personal goal was to get off my meds (BP, cholesterol, GERD, Asthma plus all those OTCs and avoid the looming diabetes pills, insulin shots, blood sugar testing- blah, blah, blah.. emoticon

Like you, I was taken off meds in hospital and haven't looked back. I feel terrific now!!!

Looking slim and buying smaller clothes are just icing on my new 'cake'. emoticon

I'm very happy for you!
