I have been in a slump. I'm grateful for the friends who have noticed and sent me messages asking how I'm doing. I'm sorry for not responding but I didn't want to admit how poorly I've been doing.
Over the last month my grandfather has died, my husband's grandmother has died and my best friend's mother passed away. In addition to being surrounded by death I've been balancing the daily struggles of being a full time wife and mother. Somehow everything kind of collapsed on itself and I've been eating everything in site. As a result, I'm back up to my starting weight and I'm bloated and gross.
So here is my strategy moving forward:
1. I am signed up for four fitness classes a week. Two Zumba, one Zumba Sentao (uses a chair to isolate the core), and a butts and guts class to help tone my problem areas.
2. I need to get back to food journaling to hold myself accountable for what I'm putting in my mouth.
3. The nice weather is finally here so I see trips to the playground and swimming pool in my son's future.
4. I've started taking Metformin again which should help with my insulin resistance and help me loose weight.
