Hello Again

Wednesday, April 10, 2013

Hello Again,
It has been a couple months since my last blog and my last time on Sparkpeople. I wanted to give my friends an update in what has been going on in my life.

I guess I will start off with an update of my journey to life change. I have lost a total of 40 lbs. I am only 10 lbs from my initial goal. I need to measure myself and post those to see how much I have lost there. I have been struggling the last few weeks with counting my calories and not eating sweats, but I have however kept from drinking any sodas, except the sprite I had when I had a stomach bug. I believe I will be having to go on the calorie counting again real soon to hit my goal of 250 by June. I have been playing racquetball about 4 days a week for cardio, but have neglected to do any strength training for a few weeks. I have lost some motivation in my journey but mostly due to the time I have to do things.

I have started my garden already. I planted lettuce, radish, garlic, onions, and carrots. It is getting cold tonight, looks like a hard freeze is on its way, temperatures in the upper teens. I know that the seeds I planted are real hardy plants and like the cooler weather. I just don't know how much cooler. I can just hope that the ground is warm enough to keep the crops growing.

I wanted to update you guys on the calling I have in ministry. I have registered in school with Global University and have been working on completing my first class. I am down to my last assignment and then I will be testing. The first class was very informative and helped me understand a lot about Christ and the times he lived in. My assignment is to do something to minster to a person of people about some of what I learned. I believe I am going to do it here. I would appreciate it if you guys and gals would pass the word along to all that you can to read my blog and give a response. I will right the blog on Thursday morning. I want to thank you guys in advance.

Psalm 106:1
Praise the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.

Have a Blessed day.

emoticon I believe that if the Lord has called you to ministry, that it is commanded by the Lord to use our gifts that he has blessed us with. I know that God will be with you and give you the wisdom you need to get through school and be a successful minister! God bless you and the work you are doing! Have a blessed day! emoticon emoticon

I singed up for the reminder to follow your blog. I am sure that God will bless your endeavors. I find that when life gets hectic, it is more important than ever for me to log all of my food so I don't have to think so much about it. If I don't, it has a tendency to get away from me.

Good for you on what you have accomplished so far! I know that in my fitness journey, that I would have times when I needed to just hold to get my bearings for the next stage. It sounds like you have done that.

And good for you for being at Global University!

You have a lovely family.

I am no spring chicken! But, I attempt to live the Christian Life and minister to cancer patients!

Also, at Church for this month, we are studying Revelation. The sermon is on this and then a follow-up elective study during the Sunday School hour. My favorite book of the Bible!

Keep on, keeping on!
