I Think I dropped a clothes size

Tuesday, April 09, 2013

I say think because I'm not really sure. I was wearing a size 18, but when I went shopping today, all the 18s were too big. I ended up with a 16.

However, I ended up in the Woman's sizes. Now, they make Woman's petites beginning at size 14. It is all very confusing. I am too short for regular clothes and too heavy for petite clothes.

Now, they make clothes for short fat people lol.

This week has been good. I have been taking time for myself. I am still getting all my work done. I have been eating smart and my blood pressure has been staying in the normal range. I hate that I have to see my doc in the afternoon on Thursday because she is going to weigh me after I eat breakfast and lunch and that is not fair :(

I guess I could skip lunch until after my appointment.

Good for you--- wearing a smaller size now!

About sizes: My shoe size is 10 1/2 BUT most shoe makers don't make my size!
Almost all shoes are available in half size except 10 and a half--- I need that half measurement, -- and the eleven is too big. ( I don't have petite feet) HA!

emoticon Oh my! I hate seeing my doctor for that very reason! I have to weigh in every time, but... I also have to drink a "ton" of water before I go or they can't draw my blood. Which means I'm carrying about 10 extra water pounds by the time I get there. However, it has been going down lately even though it still reads 5 - 10 lbs over what I weigh at home, before breakfast, sans clothing of course.

Glad you are finding some balance! You deserve a life outside the office too.

I understand how difficult it is shopping for clothes. I feel like I need half sizes and mixed sizes to make things fit right. Congrats on dropping a clothes size, that is something I look forward to happening soon!

What fun! I remember what a milestone it was to no longer need the fat woman's shoppe. WooHoo! Love it, love it!

Just deduct five pounds or whatever you think appropriate for the clothes, shoes, and nutritional intake for the day. It's what you know (at home) that is your reporting number. If you can, I find it fun to check the scale at home with the scale at the doctor's office (if able to do it relatively soon) . . . to know that your scale is calibrated to match the doctor's office (nevertheless, don't read too much into this, as your scale at home is what really counts).

emoticon That is great! I know, it doesn't seem fair that your doctor should take your "official" weight in the afternoon. I would weigh myself in the morning like someone suggested and then, let my doctor know my AM weight. Good Luck! emoticon

Weight that morning and then point out the scale discrepancy during your appointment. Your doctor won't care, but it'll make you feel better.

Congrats on the size drop. I agree that clothing sizes are confusing and weird.
