Today's task on SparkCoach for me is to blog about fitness excuses. We all have them. The biggest one is probably time.
This quote cracked me up, it is SO true! I admit I have had many days where I have said that I just didn't have time. Carving 10 or 20 minutes isn't that hard really. How much time do I spend browsing on the computer? Even on my busiest days I can find 10 minutes and just do some sort of movement! I will NOT use this excuse anymore!!
I also ran across another quote that I really liked:
I WILL break the habit of making excuses, not only for exercise but other aspects of my life too - food being the biggest!
A few excuses and responses that I thought of:
No gym membership - Who needs a gym? Home dvd's, SparkPeople, YouTube, go for a walk/run, play with your kids...the list goes on and on.
I don't have weights - Do you have food? Cans and milk jugs work great too.
I'm tired - Exercise is an energy booster.
I'm sore from yesterdays workout - Keep moving! Have you ever noticed that the soreness in your muscles gets better if you keep using it. Maybe lighten up your workout some but don't quit. And don't forget to stretch!
