Fall may be my favorite season but spring brings an end to my winter blues. The days are longer, the sun is out, and so am I. This past weekend I spent 7 hours outside. I moved and spread 120 bags of mulch (some I even moved more than once). And when I say "I" moved, I mean I did it with no help from spouse or children. What was so remarkable? I had zero sore muscles the next day! None: no back, abs, glutes, hamstrings, quads - nothing! The accomplishment comes from functional and core training three times a week. I was amazed and so very happy! I also burned a ridiculous number of calories (well over 2000) and got to spend a fabulous day outside.
