I missed Spark!

I really did miss spark. It's amazing how much 'at home' I feel on this site, in this community.

I actually did some physical working out yesterday, despite not feeling up to it. I did one of my new yoga dvd's, Yoga for Inflexible People. Ummm, yeah, it was still hard to hold the warrior pose for that long, but dang, if you have tight hips, this video is awesome! I also decided on a whim to start this April Squat Challenge that is going around on Tumblr. Yes I have a Tumblr, no it's not a "Fitblr." I just post things like rocks/minerals, anime, kpop, kdrama, and random gifs that make me laugh usually related to movies or shows.

So back to the squat thing. It's basically started on April 1st (oops, oh well, I changed it April 8th) with 30 squats. Every day you add 10 squats, with Sunday being a rest day. Then by the end of April you should have a killer butt and up to 280-300 squats. I am sure I will feel it by Friday, but 30 squats was nothing to me yesterday. Next month I found something similar to do, the Wall Sit Challenge. Start off at 20 seconds and add 10 seconds every day after that, with Sunday as a rest day. I am going to overlap the first 3 days of Wall Sit Challenge, and the last three days of Squat Challenge, but it should be fine. By that time a 30 second wall sit should be cake (but I'm worried about following it with 300 squats....not really, but slightly concerned).

I did pretty well on my food yesterday. I ate really healthy and whole with only a few excepts. I finished off my Cape Cod Salt and Vinegar chips. Which put me over my fat for the day. And I was a little low on protein. And even though I wasn't in range for carbs, I know that I need to be lower than what spark suggests, so I am aiming for 120-150 carbs, and I was over that. So basically now that all that food is gone from the move, I can focus on good foods for me. Since I have a wicked sweet tooth, I got some decent (not great) quality chocolate, some chocolate Mootopia (14 grams of protein, 2% milk, and 11 grams of carbs, 9 are sugar), and a ton of fruit. Strawberries, bananas, apples, oh my! I am really making an effort to focus on my food this time around. It will be my down fall if I don't. I also got some sugar free vanilla coconut milk for when I want to make a protein shake.

So, even though I did really well on food yesterday, today will be better. And even though I really don't feel like working out or doing much (it's so nice to be in a quite place), I still have to do some laundry (were to put the clean stuff is an issue). And I really need to get into that dang POD, but I am so afraid that it's going to fall out all over me, like some crazy cartoon closet....

I did weigh myself, but I don't have the dang tape measure, but the verdict is in....13 pounds gained! But even with that little bit of exercise, and that good eating (and drinking a ton of water), I lost a pound today. Every little bit counts!

Well that's it for me. I am going really slow on getting back on track. Starting with eating right first then working out. Plus I really am lost without my heart rate monitor (HRM). I need a battery for it, and I am debating on just going and getting another one. Oh well...

    Glad to see you back! I was kind of antisocial for a while, but I was reading your moving update posts! I hate moving and not knowing what boxes I put crap in, but good for you for getting some activity in! I saw that butt challenge thing going around on tumblr, and I don't even have one. I was looking for some motivation, and kept seeing pictures of butts with the workout schedule next to it, and wondered WTF was going on. lol
