I made it through the first day! Lost 3 pounds. I know, it is just water weight, but it feels good anyway. Of course, my child side is arguing with my adult side and saying "nah, no way, the 3 pounds is pure fat".
Adult side "Then again, before starting the fast, I was pretty restrictive on salt, so it isn't like my body was holding onto water, right? So perhaps the weight lost isn't at least some fat."
I will stop this child/adult argument right now although the child seems to be winning. It doesn't really matter. I will stick with this and loose the weight where ever the weight is coming from.
Feeling good and onward to day 2.
