Planting the seeds

Tuesday, April 09, 2013

Good Morning; all the time the kids were growing up charity and volunteering for something we were interested in were given a priority. We adopted two children from Korea. Dillon International has camps that I have encouraged my children to get involved. We took a tour to Korea when the kids were in middle school. We visited the orphanage and actually took care of babies in the nursery who were in the process of being adopted. DD called me up and has volunteered this summer to be a camp counselor for the agency in Tulsa. This was her decision. I just planted the seed. I put her on their mailing list and for years she has been getting updates on activities. This year she decided to act on the call for adoptees to apply for counselors. She loves doing things like this. She was a counselor for freshman week each year when she was at university. She is organized and really has a way with young people. Dh & I are so proud of her decisions she has made as a wonderful productive adult. Have a good day!! I am over my cold and I have been back to the gym.

Fabulous!!!!!! So proud of your DD too!

Having 2 Korean adopted children as well, it is so important for them to be connected to that part of who they are AND help others "feel" that connection too!

HUGS! You did a good job.
