My assignment for Week 2 of A&I's BSG challenge is to answer the question: "What is your favorite outdoor activity in the Spring season?"
This is so easy for me! I usually have a hard time picking favorites, because I enjoy so many different things. And in fact, I love any time when I can get outside to enjoy the outdoors once spring is here...walks with the dogs, biking, walk/jogs, gardening and more. But...without a doubt, hiking is my #1 favorite activity...experiencing the glory of nature as it comes out of hibernation with greenery and blooms, listening to the birds sing in the woods and the frogs croak in a pond or stream, and smelling the fresh mountain air!
Now over the last several years, spring seems to be very short, going right into summer with a jump in temperatures. I am not a big fan of sweating while hiking, so hiking in the 50's and 60's and low 70's is ideal for me. And while I may not get any big hikes in this particular spring, since we are busy trying to sell our house, when I retire and we start full-time RVing, we will be in search of a perpetual spring, hoping to follow spring up the east or west coast.
What could be better?!?
