Difference of a year

Monday, April 08, 2013

A year ago our family was getting prepared to move to England temporarily for my husband's job. So much happened in this past year. We moved to England and lived there for 9 months and immersed ourselves into their culture. In so many ways it is similar and yet different. We toured through England, Scotland, Wales, and some of Europe. I'm glad we had this experience, but we really appreciated coming home to our way of doing things and our types of foods.

Upon our return we found our that a dear friend was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer and had less than a year to live. He died 3 months later. He was s good man and on Tuesday, the 2nd we went to the Celebration of Life for him. He had videotaped his last words and sermon to share Christ for that night. It was powerful and inspired. I've since heard that people from throughout Central Florida have heard about it and are talking about the impact. This man lived what his talked. His words of closing were "God is GOOD!!!"

I do understand what she has gone through because my husband passed this Feb 11 to cancer too. I too prayed that he would be healed and be with me but God took him home on the 11. He went peacefully and when they closed his mouth, he had a smile on his face. Before he got cancer he did not think God cared about any one and you could call him an agnostic but when the cancer came and he was alive longer than what they said he would be then he started to believe in God how cared about him. He even read my bible and even the notes that I had written in them and also the papers that I had written and put in the bible. He accepted Christ and one time I even saw him in prayer and waited until he was done because he did not see me since I was outside the hospital door and was about to come into the room and God stopped me and made me look in the room and then I felt that I needed to wait until he was done. It was his time alone with
God and I felt that he needed to be alone with him without me being there. Thanks for the site and it does make things easier for me too.
