Too soon to say, but... :)!

I know, I know. It's only been, what, 5 days since I started my guinea pigs on their "diet"/lifestyle change. The main aspects have been setting up regular feeding and smack times and minimizing portions back to normal. Still a bit of a work in progress as I work nights three times a week then switch back to day-shifter routines for my days off.

Anyway, in progress or not I've already noticed a significant (though not quantifiable/measurable) change in my guinea pigs. They don't sleep all day long. They run around the cage and purr without any further provocation than each orher's company. They stand sweetly at attention when I walk into the room, but don't pester me much for food...they happily accept petting and playtime instead.

Even the white/gray one, Tinsel Puff, who has always been more standoffish and "don't touch me" is willing to sit still and let me pet her. *shock*. Sometimes she even stretches out and purrs happily.

And I haven't heard them sneeze once in the last week! *fingers crossed and knocking on wood* I hope this is a sign of good things to continue!

Another proof that diet is a lifestyle change, and has positive impacts!

Kudos on taking care so well of your little friends!
