What Coach Nicole taught me for P90x

Today was my second ever P90x workout--plyometrics. I have to say that for various reasons (including the fact that I am extremely protective of my knees), I modified about 50 percent of the moves.
But modification to me doesn't always mean less intensity; sometimes I substitute an equally intense move that works the same muscle groups (or different) but just works better for my body or fitness level.
While I was doing the workout I thought about my 10 minute coach nicole videos, which I still use and LOVE. She always says the important thing is to "keep moving," and if something gets too hard, you are supposed to return to the march in place. Well, with P90x, I did just that. I did as much as I could with perfect form, and if it got too intense, I did these high knee and arm raises that kept my heart rate up until I was ready to move to the next exercise.
The best part about this is that I end up finishing the workouts. Instead of going "ugh, I can't do this!" And turning to a box of candy (which I no longer keep in the house, but anyway), I think "I can't do this yet, so let me do my knee raises." The sense of accomplishment at the end of the workout is huge.
