A Different Approach

Sometimes I get hung up and worried over the calories I'm consuming, and tracking them doesn't seem to make things any better... so... I'm foregoing tracking for a while, and just focusing on trying to make wise/moderate choices. Let's see where it gets me!

    I was just thinking this the other day. In fact, I haven't done too much tracking recently. I thought it would help me, but in fact my eating has become worse since I've stopped tracking. I've decided to track my dinners so that I'm not eating too much too late in the day!

    I also get obsessed by the numbers. Every time I track, I end up putting on weight, because I eat things when I'm not hungry, just to get up to calorie limit. I've been losing every since I started eating slowly and mindfully, and stopping as soon as I'm full.

    Tracking is supposed to do just the opposite. For me it really helps me to be cognizant of the food that I am putting in my mouth throughout the day. It lets me know what I still need and helps me to balance my nutrition. Perhaps you should try writing down your thoughts about eating everyday to see if you can figure out why you are getting so hung up on the calories. Best of luck to you.
