Tips for Beating leg cramps and sciatica !

Monday, April 08, 2013

Thanks Dear Friends for comfort and ideas. If I missed any you have listed, let me know.

*Potassium from pills, bananas and spinach
*rocking in rocking chair to massage muscles.
*massage knotted muscles with hands and heat rub
*hydration, lots of water, gatorade, tea, etc.
*pain medication
*meditation, prayer, relaxation with binaural waves
*doctor visit, chiroprator, PT
*heat and ice. Ice on sciatica, heat on muscles.

The ice has been a huge immediate relief, am hoping getting the minerals back again with the massage will help stop it completely in the long run. The prayer and meditation calm me from the pain and help me cope with it on a different level.

Bless each of your for your help and prayers.

PS: I found this tidbit on the livestrong website: Long-term Solution

Massage may help, but for long-term relief, Margaret Hills, State Registered Nurse and author of "Cider Vinegar," June 2003, says a dairy-free diet with no animal fat and lots of green salads, combined with 2 tsp. of cider vinegar diluted in water twice daily, will "dissolve acid crystals in the blood" and provide potassium, calcium and other essential minerals to the body needed to ease the leg cramps.
