Massive Spring Spruce Up

Monday, April 08, 2013

Today it begins. Our dd's family moved into their new home over the weekend. So, beginning today I'll be down at our house scrubbing, painting, getting rid of stuff, gardening, etc. to get ready to sell. Our realtor walks through with me on Friday to tell me what else ought to be done. Though I'm stronger now than I was in years past, I still hit the wall way too soon. If I really overdo one day I end up sidelined for several more. Can't afford down time right now. It will be an interesting adventure. I may stay overnight there part of the time to save the gas and driving time. I wonder if this change in kind of exercise might even shake up my metabolism and get a little extra weight to fall away. I have my fingers crossed.

When I have a lot to do, I set the timer and stick to certain tasks until the time runs out. Then I stop and rest or change tasks to put my body in different positions. I usually get a lot done and am not worn out at the end of the day. Hope you find the right path for you as you work! emoticon

Your realtor could tell you to move stuff around. Or more likely, put some of your furniture in storage. If you have cleaned stuff out, the hard physical work is done. The really hard part is waiting for a contract. Doing nothing but wait is, for me, harder than activity.

Make sure you plan each day and do only what you can do safely. We don't want your health to be at risk. This is a major good thing you are doing and I'm sure it is much appreciated. emoticon

Not that I listen to my own advice but take it slow and easy...don't want to be sidelined from a pulled or achy muscle...........yeah, you are probably right on the change of exercise for the body to sit up and take notice..........take care, and what a wonderful person you are to lend a helping hand

That is wonderful you can be helpful in that way. Don't over do my Friend. Stirring up old pains is not what you want. Ask God to direct these actions. emoticon

Pace yourself! My daughter always tells me you only have so much energy these days, use it wisely. If it were not so true, it would irritate me. That is a lot of hard work be careful.

It will definitely shake up your metabolism. When we were working on our house day in day out to get it fixed up, the weight just fell off me. ;). You can do it!
