The Proof is in the Pudding

Or in this case, the rice.

Rice is one of those foods that have a bad name. Not from anything it did, but from those touting high protein diets. Anyone will tell you how bad rice is, how it raises your blood sugar and makes you fat. It's too high carb. Well, I just donít believe them. Look at how many populations through history have been healthy while eating mostly rice. The Chinese are a perfect example.

Iíve been told that rice is one of the best foods I can eat. I know from past experience that rice, beans and corn agree with my body. This last week I was maintaining my weight. It was time to stop that and start progressing again. Saturday I ate a cinnamon roll for breakfast and then needed more so I had potatoes. I also ate potatoes for lunch and dinner. I maintained.

Yesterday I ate rice for breakfast and lunch, followed with lasagna for dinner. That was essentially the only change in my diet. Rice instead of potatoes and no cinnamon roll. This morning I was down 1 Ĺ pounds. I know some of that was water retention and other toxins being released, but I sure feel different. I love how Iím feeling. I'll be eating rice from now on.
