OOPS! Forgot the hat...

Monday, April 08, 2013

I was so excited to get outside yesterday and do yard work (it was sunny and in the 60's -- PREFECT yard work kind of day!), that I forgot to wear a hat! A year ago, there was hair on my head (granted, not too much!), now there is none! And the sun was VERY strong yesterday, so the head is a little warm this morning!

A good lesson learned before the sun gets even stronger....

Yeah, I can relate. It looks like I have a full head of hair, but there's a definite bald spot on top, and I have to keep it covered. Ouch!

Sunscreen and a good hat are your best friends in the garden!

Yeah, that happens with a shaved head. A couple years ago, I got sunburn from the sun shining through the holes in my bike helmet. Took a couple weeks to heal up, and I went out and bought a wicking cap designed to go under the helmet.

Maybe just carrying a large handkerchief with you at all times would help. In case you forget again, you could protect your head with the handkerchief...
