April status updates - we danced, now to tone up

Each day I listen to at least one upbeat song.
The first week of April I shared a song daily in my status updates.
I was thinking about continuing the trend this week, using line dances

But I decided it would be more helpful to add on a different fun fitness activity. We don't want to get into a rut!

So each week in April, keep a look out for what I'm doing here to earn fitness minutes, and join me if you feel inclined or inspired.

This week we'll be doing a strength move every day.

Monday: SQUATS

For more challenge, you can add an overhead press with dumbbells and/or a heel raise for the calves and balance. I have a BOSU and will use it. Wall squats with a stability ball are also quite effective.

Combination moves can be time efficient and engage the brain.

    Coach Nicole seems a wonderful person, and a great role model, but I'm fully convinced she's an alien life form! Notice that she does all exericizes with no sign of strain, and her back is almost always perfectly straight. She's either an alien, or came from the same factory as C3PO. emoticon
