The Good, The Bad, The Ugly....

Remember these guys? It is an obvious pick if you wanted one at your side ..........

Have you ever wondered the role hormones play in your body?
Let's just say that the Good guy' stands for the 'good hormones' to make for a happy trail. .......... For instance endorphins, dopamines, and serotonin .......... the feel good hormone and the latter being produced prior to sleep. Without them, we are in deep trouble and ........... this guy will come on the scene! (YIKES!!)


This guy is as mean as he is ugly ....... so let's call him cortisol. We will say he is the 'stress hormone' ....... and when he hangs around and keeps us stressed, not only does our blood pressure rise, but the high cortisol level will make sure we hang on to belly fat!! ..........And we wonder why those scales sometimes don't budge!

So how does the Good guy outwit these bandits?
The good guy knows just how important it is to find time for rest and relaxation in this crazy rush hour tempo society is now living. It seems most are in a hurry to do just about anything! We especially see it on the highways and byways. To shut stress down and out in our lives so that we can find calm, balance and keep these 'bad boys' from stealing our tranquility ........

How is that possible?
1--Is your list of 'to-do'things so long it covers the entire refrigerator door?
Why not shorten the list, and do a few things instead of trying to 'conquer all'
2--Prioritize ....... What needs to be done now or soon ....... and what can wait....
3--Make time to relax, unwind, BREATHE and refresh yourself.
4--Think calm thoughts/ read something peaceful/ tune out noisy TV ...
5--Go to bed same time each night .. Get that much needed sleep .. in a dark & quiet room.
6--Be kind to YOU. If you are working on losing weight .... be reasonable in your expectations and make it your personal journey. Avoid stress by pushing yourself to the breaking point! .......... (It all takes time--one day at a time) .....
And remember ......... Who would you rather have by your side .......... Don't give place to the Bad and the Ugly .............

    Don't know how you continue to find such great ways to make your points but LOVE them! Stress is truly a killer - figuratively and literally. My hubby and I have started doing yoga at least on Sundays and it has been a great way to share time and to find peace. As usual, love the blog and the timely message. Rock on with your bad self!!!!!

    I can remember when I was a kid my dad took my sisters & me to a Clint Eastwood spaghetti western marathon at the drive-in. We were there for hours watching all four movies (omg isn't that child abuse?):
