Cancer run, for my Dad!

Sunday, April 07, 2013

Hadn't counted on the Vesuvius Challenge being quite the challenge, but we managed! A 4 mile wilderness run complete 50:56 and pace time 13:00 2 secs better than race one and that is with the hill. Two weeks can really make a difference!

Worried before the race!

One more picture before we start!

Rounding the corner at the bottom of the hill, sprinting to the end!

Done! Tired and headed for food!

Great day!! This was a American Cancer Society Race, dedicated by me to my Dad.

I lost my mother to cancer, and I often "think" about participating in a walk/run event. I never have done so to date. Your message is encouraging. Hopefully, it will push me over the edge and I will participate this year.
