So yesterday I weighed in for the weight loss challenge. I am so excited to be part of this. The money is a great incentive to push myself even harder. It has been 3 weeks since I started my lifestyle changes and it has been going great. This week I started working out again (slowly). I was not sure how my ankle would handle it. It went pretty good. I was able to do 4 days this week of working out. My goal is to start running again. My daughter wants to run a
with me. We are hoping to be running one in June. This gives us 8 weeks to get ready.
Following my paleo lifestyle has been going great. Everyday gets easier and I have been trying a lot of new foods that I thought I didn't like. This week I downloaded a bunch of cookbooks to help me try new foods. I have even been able to get my kids to try some of it and most of the time they don't like it but at least they are trying it. My youngest daughter(4yrs old) loved the spaghetti made with spaghetti squash (she devoured it). Yesterday I sat down and talked to all of my kids about how we are going to try and cut back on all the sugar and processed foods they eat. They said they are willing to try. I am hoping this will help with some of their issues. My oldest daughter (9yrs) suffers from severe seasonal allergies just like I did. My have are not as bad since I have gone gluten free last year. So I am hoping for the same for her. My son (5 yrs) has terrible mood swings when he eats sugar so I want to cut him back on his sugar intake (not so easy when you have so many holidays that involve candy) but we are going to try.
Goals for the week:
1. Go for a walk/run at least 4 times this week and do my bootcamp workout at least 3 times this week.
2. Try 2 new recipes and involve my kids in cooking with me.
