Continuing with a "Hybrid" type of Exercise Rotation for April

Sunday, April 07, 2013

I am going to continue on with a hybrid style of workouts "mixing" up different program DVDs for this month. It will be P90X, CLX, and Walking. This plan will work my total body with strength training 3 days per week and cardio 2 days per week. I do need to pay a little more attention to the type of food consumption, too. I need to continue to focus on daily water intake as well. I will be logging food, water, and exercise as usual.

Below is my fitness guide and it will be changed up over the next few weeks by switching days for each session. I've completed one week already so this starts today.

Sun - rest day (usually end up doing something outdoors)
Mon - Walking
Tue - P90X Back & Biceps
Wed -P90X Kickboxing
Thu - CLX Extreme Lower Body
Fri - P90X Chest, Shoulders, Triceps
Sat - rest day (usually end up doing something outdoors)

Let's kick some butt, Sparkers!!

emoticon ... I am doing the same thing that you are, creating a hybrid workout that works for "ME!"... I have tried to follow regimented workouts like most recently, the LES MILLS Pump Revolution, (high rep, strength training with weights), I found it to be too hard on my hips, just too many reps. There are 2 leg segments, one for squats/deadlifts and the other for lunges... If I do one, I don't do the other, so I pace myself. I am now splitting the workout, at least the lower body into 2 parts. If I do squats/deadlifts on Sunday, when I am no longer sore from the previous workout, I will do the lunges.

If the weather is ok, I walk everyday too. AM/PM to and from work, 1 hour each way, 5 days a week. I try to also add in kickboxing, boxing, step, (HIIT/TABATA type workouts) and pilates during the week as well. I really have to make sure that I am eating right and getting enough rest.

This weekend Ia m going over the nutritional part of my plan because I am not making progress and I know it's how I am eating... I know I have to be more consistent with the right foods. I love starchy foods, but can't have them often, at least not in the quantities that I would like because it will stall my weight loss.

... you are doing great!... keep up the good work and thanks for sharing your workout plan it helps motivate me as well. I will blog about mine later too.

Enjoy your evening! emoticon ~ Dee emoticon
