Early April and spring is finally making an appearance here on the "east coast" of Ohio. The daffodils and crocuses have been up for a couple weeks and now my maple trees are budding. The lilies and peonies are poking up and there's a robin in my backyard who is feasting on the berries from my "cardinal candy" bush :) After this long winter, mother nature is finally starting to behave herself.
I'm slowly making a comeback to spark; I forgot how hard it is to be accountable with my calories and my exercise. I've rarely had a problem with my water intake, because that's pretty much all I ever drink. And the worst/best part of this is that I retired on January 31st. The worst part is that I am nowhere near as active as I was when I was working, since I had a job which kept me on my feet all day, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, etc. The best part is that I now have an extra 9-10 hours a day that I can use for exercise and meal planning!
So, here's to spring and to new beginnings!
