Vibram FiveFingers Entrada

Sunday, April 07, 2013

One of my fellow sparkers got me interested in these. My regular athletic shoes feels so stiff and confining (Balance) Even had them fitted at one of their stores. But these sparked (pun) some interest. Looking forward to a purchase, it will be awhile because they are not cheap. Most I looked at were in the $100 range. New item to save for.

Just follow the instructions and wear them for short periods first, gradually increasing wear time. Your feet have to re-learn their natural job, and you will be using foot muscles your exercise shoes may have let slack.

For treadmill, I'll stick with my $12 Wally sneakers. The more cushion on my feet the better. Check out this video on treadmill desk:

I am going to use these with the treadmill. Don't think I would want to walk with them outside because they are pretty thin, and can attract some items that can cut or poke or scratch the feet. I guess if you wear them in the elements thats part of the deal.

I am an overpronator, so I do not think I would do well in these shoes. I stick with the ones I get at the running store, or else I run in pain. But they do look like fun!

I have a pair of the first version of these shoes. I love them.. It is supposed to work the foot muscles like you aren't wearing shoes. Everyone thinks they look weird but I don't care. Good luck with them they take some getting used to.

I would be sorely tempted to paint the "toenails" different colors every week.

I tried these shoes on for water aerobic. I found that they didn't offer me the support I was looking for in a shoe, but I do like the idea of wearing this shoe.
