I lost my way, like so many, and I came back also like so many. I'm almost back to the old "new" me. My energy level is up. My motivation is high (most of the time). My food choices are back to 95% healthy. My fitness needs some tweaking, but I am working on that. For the past 3 weeks I had to curtail my exercise due to an awful cough, however, that is getting better every day.
I have integrated a new Spark recipe every week to broaden my menus. I have been working on the April challenge eating a healthy breakfast and working out at least 10 minutes in the morning. (been doing a segment from a fitness DVD)
I read an article about a week ago which simply said: eat something within the first hour of waking. This actually has helped me. DH is a night owl and we always eat breakfast together which ends up to be about 3 hours after I get up. I grab a piece of fruit to munch on before breakfast.
I have also been working on my sleeping habits. I now turn off the computer at least an hour before bedtime. I downloaded some relaxing music on my tablet and listen to this while falling asleep. I can set a timer on this so it is really working out. I fall asleep and wake up more relaxed than ever.
So over all this journey is once again moving forward and I am a better person for that.

    It is never to late to hop back on the Spark wagon! You are such a great Spark friend and offer so much to this great site so I hope you never stray too far. I agree with Jackie that once a sparker, always a sparker!
Keep up the great work and we will keep on encouraging you and sparking you on!
I agree that breakfast is so so important, for years I never really ate it but now I make sure I eat a good breakfast before heading into work.

    Way to go! I get up really early (5:30 am) and with all the hubub, wasn't eating within 1 hr. of getting up. I've heard that from so many sources (and read it too) so . . . working on doing that and it makes a huge difference! With anything you're trying to make a habit it takes time. Keep pushing! You can do it and so glad you're back.

    Barb. I am so happy that you are on the healthy road. I too read the article about eating something within a hour, but if I eat early in the morning it upsets my stomach. I never thought to just eat a piece of fruit and breakfast later. emoticon for the idea. I am tweaking my exercise too, I am in a rut. It is getting nice out so I am going to take a walk before breakfast emoticon let's see if I can do it. Yesterday, I took a walk, but it was after 1pm We can do it. We just have to emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
