Since my last blog entry, we've celebrated a nine year old's birthday, enjoyed Easter celebrations, busied ourselves with a staycation spring break, and continued with renovations on the house. A lot of fun (besides the renovation) but it has meant I have not kept with my straight and narrow path of weight loss. I've continued with the exercising. (I'm walking the Flying Pig 10k in May). But, all my other strategies for weight loss have been inconsistent. I can't manage to keep with any rules. I've been keeping up with the weekly challenge, but haven't been good about building upon them. It is discouraging, as it's one of the main points of the challenge. This week in particular will be a challenge. Like most busy parents, I tend to muti-task. In fact, if we aren't eating a meal as a family, I love to take the time to read, or catch up on email. When I'm at work, I tend to work through my meal time so I can leave work a bit early. It makes the work/life balance a but easier. So, I will try to recapture my mojo this week and start with tracking and mindful eating. Go starfish!
