I have made some progress this past week. The week started out poorly but has finished up well.
PAIN: Tue/Wed/Thurs my hip pain was so bad (#9) by 1 or 2 pm that all I could do is sit or lay down apply an ice pack, take ibuprofen, then stretch gently and apply an aspirin cream. Then not do much the rest of the day.
The rainy weather may have more to do with this than I previously thought because now that it has been gone I've felt better. I did make an appointment with my pain doc to have a shot in my left hip for bursitis this Monday. I've had these shots before. Last shot was in Nov '12. I've tried hard to avoid getting more shots, but now feel that I have to give in to it this time.
I have been able to do much more exercising and much needed house work the last couple days.
SLEEP: the worse my pain was the worse my sleeping was, and so I didn't get enough sleep for the first several days this week. Last two nights was so much better
NUTRITION: Every day this week I have tracked my nutrition and I have stayed with in my ranges every day and drank my 8-9 glasses of water every day. I also made several new healthy meals and snacks.
EXERCISE and OUTINGS: I have tracked my exercise through my FitBit device every day and tracked the "other", so I'm pretty happy with that. I also got out to church and helped with cutting quilt pieces for the lap quilts we will make during our Mother's Day weekend retreat and I made it to my Bible Study meeting on Thursday.
SWELLING: swelling in my lower legs, ankles and feet is almost gone. It had been a little bad and then I took a 5 day trip, two of which was mostly in a car. I had been having so much swelling and "pitting-edema" that I couldn't get shoes back on in the afternoon. I did go to the doctor and just one extra "water pill" one day and voila... now no problem getting on shoes or feeling like the circulation in my feet isn't good.
