I've been feeling a lot more energetic lately, and getting more exercise in without feeling like I'm stressing to fit it in. A trick that works quite well for me: I buy my non-perishables in a monthly shopping trip, and walk to the store every two or three days for ingredients for my cooking. The meat and veggies are always fresher, I waste less food, and it even makes it easier to manage my money! (I get tips from work, really bad tips, but it adds up to $20 every few days.) I only shop once on my bank account each month, and it's a lot less than I normally would when I'd try to buy all my food for the whole week or more. I don't drive, so I still end up walking home with more weight than the first half of the walk, but when It comes time to stock up on the rice, frozen veggies, and all that other stuff that keeps so long, I'm a lot better able to carry everything. For those of you who walk for your groceries, give it a try this spring. Once you get used to splitting your list into the "Buy for the month" and the "Buy for the few days" categories, It makes cooking easier, food fresher, and the kitchen less cluttered, all of which are wonderful fits in my life. Also, I forgot the Pita I was supposed to get, so now I get to take a SECOND walk. (Okay, I'm not actually happy about that, but can't change what you done done wrong.)

    I bought a small cart just for local grocery shopping. I go to 2 different stores (and they're in opposite direction. I like walking and doing my grocery shopping.
