Planning meals for nights out with friends...

Saturday, April 06, 2013

Hello everyone! :)

Tonight I'm looking forward to dinner with some friends. My boyfriend can't make it so I'll be with my two best friends (and their significant others!) and a friend from college. I'm really looking forward to it-- not only to spend time w/ friends but also because it'll be my first time at a restaurant since joining SP! I've checked the menu but there is no nutritional info because it's a more local place. I was able to scope out the most healthy options and left a little wiggle room in my daily calories to squeeze in a taste of whatever else ends up on our table...bread or appetizers!

Here's hoping I'm able to resist temptation! There have been times when my friends are the ones dieting and I was the one eating whatever I pleased. It's hard not to push food when you're the unhealthy friend! Eating non-nutritious, greasy foods is a lot less fun when everyone around you is making smarter choices....so I understand how my non-dieting friends must feel when they go out to eat with me! I'm sticking with my plan and making this work.

It was a non-activity day for me, but I'll be back outside tomorrow. Hoping this beautiful weather sticks around, we haven't had much of it here in MD! :) I decided to spend the morning catching up on some of the recorded lectures for my online class.

To whoever comes across this post, have a wonderful day!
