I'm a planner as well. A couple weeks ago I realized I wasn't carrying my planner around with me and I was going insane running around trying to remember what I was supposed to be doing and just hoping I don't forget something or overbook myself. I'm slowly getting back into the habit of writing things down again, even if I don't have my planner with me, so that I can feel more level-headed.
