It's never to late to be what you might have been

Leading a health and wellness challenge program at work for the department and we are going to use SparkPeople. This should motivate me to stay on track.
Yesterday I was making pretty good choices Ė mostly water, no added sugar. Prednisone still messing with my blood sugar, so increased the Victoza finally Ė have to take lower dose for a week then up to prescribed dose. Seems to work as long as I walk after the prednisone and donít eat much carbs. Have to do a low-carb diet to help control it.

Just talked to the nurse at the doctorís clinic and I just have to say that they are GREAT and very responsive. The doc upped my prednisone to 10 mg/day. I know thatís not much, but it does play havoc on my blood sugar levels, so Iím going to take 5 in the am and 5 later and walk a little while after each dose, which seems to help a lot.

TGIF Ė am going to a dirt bike race with DH Ė heís racing and Iím going to settle with a good book and computer and enjoy nature. Will walk, too. Also have to finish taxes for us and son this weekend.

Just keep on trying Ė not giving up. Have to take action to feel some kind of control over the parts of my life that I do have control over. That makes me feel better. Have to give the rest up to my higher power (GOD).
