Mish mash of stuff

So, today is starting off good. Slept about 30 minutes later than I normally would on a Friday. That isn’t really good, but I usually have time to spare on Fridays. I let my son take my car to school and I take the bus in to work. It saves me a ton of driving and lets him feel good that he gets to drive. A win win situation for both. Plus I can get to work earlier and leave earlier, then catch the bus to the gym, workout and be about done when he is on the way back home and he can pick me up at the gym. It is always nice to catch the bus once in awhile. It allows a relaxing commute where I can read and listen to music and not have to worry about driving.
I had a great off day yesterday. It was rest day. But, I am looking forward to a busy weekend. I am going to the gym tonight. Will likely fiddle around with my bike and get a new tube put on so I can go riding with my youngest tomorrow on a local trail. I am letting her bring a friend, and I am taking my son. So, I will get to do some hard riding while he rides with the girls, then I will take it easy with the girls while he rides hard alone. It will be a good day. I hope to hit the gym as well so my riding won’t exactly be hard riding, but I am more looking forward to getting the butt in shape for the bike seat.
If all shakes out with the bike on Saturday I may change Sunday to an outdoor ride instead of the gym which will be a nice change of pace. Sunday is dance practice with my little one. And this starts a busy week. Dance Sunday, then rehearsal on Wednesday, then the recital on Friday and Saturday. Most likely I will take half a day vacation on Friday so I can make the gym before our recital and Saturday should be an easy day to make the gym beforehand.
So, now I have my week planned. I am actually hoping to ride outside after work on Monday as well. That will give me 3 days in a row of getting outside on my bike! I can’t wait! I am so glad the weather is finally getting warm enough to get some riding in. Call me a wimp, but below 60 and I get freezing on my bike. And I don’t have much in the way of good cold weather riding gear, so I am a spring, summer and fall rider. Not one of those brave souls who ride outside in all weather. I am thinking about climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro on the bike tonight. It will be on a lower resistance setting than the 11 I am on, but it will be a good hard cardio session to jump start me into the outdoor riding and a good test to see how I am doing overall fitness wise.
